Runescape is an RPG, i have played both games and prefer the gameplay of runescape, you have to do stuff rather than kill 10 boars or some such menial task

There is no point to RuneScape. You click, wait, loot, click, wait, loot, click, wait, loot, click, wait loot, and so on and so forth. World of warcraft, however, is a bit more than that. There's an expansive and beautiful world with a rich and developed history, PvP is meaningful (not that Wilderness crap), and gives the player many more options than the basic attack. Furthermore, the cost of the game is really only one day's salary at McDonald's, so it really, does not matter.

runescape sucks

It may require a bit higher of a monthly fee, but for the cost, the value is far higher compared to Runescape (which is $5/mo to be able to do anything fun, but Runescape dicked itself anyway)

Though I never really played either game, I saw Runescape at a friend's house and absolutely hated it. =p

So yeah, this vote goes to World of Warcraft
