IE6 is the bane of the web developer! I don't think it's actually more popular, it's just because of MS's monopoly of the OS market and that IE preinstalled with Windows.

Things are looking up though, with IE7 and IE8 (it will pass Acid2!). It's just getting people to upgrade, MS should force it.
